Practical Test
At the start of your test the first thing your examiner will do is check you have the correct documentation and then do an eyesight test from approximately 20 meters away. Then you will be required to answer some vehicle safety questions (show me tell me). After this you will start your practical test, where you will be expected to show that you can drive safely in different road and traffic conditions, and also demonstrate your knowledge of the highway code. You will also be asked to carry out a reversing manoeuvre, and you may be asked to demonstrate an emergency stop. Your driving test will also include approximately ten minutes of independent driving. This is to demonstrate your ability to drive independently by either following traffic signs, a series of directions or a combination of both.
At the end of your test you will be informed by your examiner if you have passed or failed. If you have failed you will be given a report form of your faults, if you have passed you will be given a certificate
